Nerite Snail

The Nerite Snail is universally hailed as the best glass-cleaning snail in the aquarium hobby. Possessing a voracious appetite for green spot algae and diatoms, a few Nerite Snails will keep your aquarium glass and hardscape spotless. They come in beautiful shell patterns, including Zebra, Tiger, and Olive (shipped randomly based on health). The biggest advantage of Nerite Snails over other common snails is that they cannot reproduce in freshwater. While females may lay small, white, sesame-seed-like eggs on driftwood, these eggs will never hatch unless in brackish water. This means absolutely zero risk of a snail population explosion. They are 100% peaceful and have a tightly fitting operculum (trapdoor) to protect themselves.
