Bucephalandra (commonly known as 'Buce') is an exotic, premium epiphyte plant native to the fast-flowing streams of Borneo. The 'Green Wavy' variety features distinctive rippled leaf edges and is known for its incredible iridescence—under good lighting, the leaves sparkle with tiny reflective dots and can show flashes of blue, purple, and deep green. Like Anubias, it must be attached to rocks or driftwood and grows very slowly. It is highly prized by advanced aquascapers for its unique textures and colors. While it can survive in low-tech setups, adding CO2 and high-quality liquid fertilizers will dramatically enhance its colors and induce regular underwater flowering.
